Yardley PA
I grew up in North Carolina where snow was a wondrous and glorious apparition that rarely graced our town. When it did, our town would shut down! A snow day was a gift from the gods and not to be taken for granted! As I grew up I made my way further north when my family moved to Maryland. And eventually my parents ended up in Pennsylvania once I was in college in DC. When I first came home for Christmas, I was charmed by the little town of Yardley. It had a historical one roomed library right on a small town pond that would freeze over and quickly become the neighborhood skating rink. I felt as if I had walked into a Louisa May Alcott story. If you ever find yourself in Bucks County, Yardley is a jem, and well worth an hour strolling the main street, grabbing a coffee and meandering about the canal towpath.
