Berkley Springs West Virginia

I finally got out of the city for a long weekend with my family this past Memorial weekend.  I hadn't thought I would be able to get away from work or school but at the last minute everything worked out and so I hopped a train to my folks house just in time to catch a ride down with them to Berkley Springs, West Virginia.  My sister, brother in law, Uncle and of course Mom and Dad rented out a cabin for our mountain weekend.

We spent our few days strolling around the historic downtown, which is known for it's famous spring waters frequented by none other than George Washington himself!  The near by state park's beautiful scenic hikes, and swimming hole were enough to keep us occupied with plenty of relaxing actives.   Our cabin was only a short drive away from the park and provided us with a scenic private lot where we spent our evenings cooking delicious meals, sitting around the bond fire, and just kicking back.   To say the least the weekend was over far too quickly.
